Beddown Welcomes 11 Guests to New Homeless Service in Ipswich
We are excited to report that our new breakfast service for the homeless continues to gain momentum. Yesterday, we welcomed 11 guests to InCommunity Connect HQ, providing them with a warm and welcoming space to access a range of services and support.
Of the 11 guests, seven were males, four were females, and we also had two dogs. We pride ourselves on creating an inclusive and non-judgmental environment where everyone is welcome, regardless of their background or circumstances.
Many of us take for granted the safety and comfort of our homes, but for those who are homeless, each day is a struggle to find a place to sleep and access basic necessities. Our goal with this service is to provide our guests with the best possible start to their day, while also helping them build on their health, wellbeing and quality of life.
In addition to providing a bite to eat and a cup of coffee, we offer our guests access to a range of services, including financial counselling and employment opportunities. We are grateful to BUSY Ability and The Salvation Army Australia for their support in these areas.
We believe that collaboration is key to creating impactful change, and we welcome service providers or businesses who would like to get involved in this initiative. If you are interested in collaborating, please don’t hesitate to contact Norm on norm@beddown.org.au.
If you want to put your hand up to volunteer at our new morning service that runs three times per week on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays from 7am to 9am then please hit the link below:
